Petition To Support A PLNU Decision

There is much criticism to be said about Point Loma Nazarene University, and I certainly have in the past.  Point Loma has much to do in order to restore a strong biblical foundation to the university.

But today is not my day to criticize them in their shortcomings, but to support a decision they have recently made.  So, when such a decision is made by them that abides by God’s word, in the face of public pressure, they need to be commended and encouraged to stand their ground.  So today I am asking you to go to the following website and add your name in support of that decision.  For details on this, see related articles at the end of this post.

I just signed the petition “Point Loma Nazarene University: I love students who struggle with same gender attraction, but I support your decision not to allow an LGBTQ club!” and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.

Our goal is to reach 1,000 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

Please pray for the students at Point Loma who have been deceived into thinking that homosexuality is compatible with Christianity.  Much of this confusion has been brought about by those in the emergent church movement, such as Brian McLaren, Rob Bell, and Tony Jones.  This fallacy is leading many towards hell.

  1. Manny, thanks for posting the article. It highlights the false belief that students like Sean Lewis and those who have signed his petition, for a LBGTQ club, have in regard to God’s word and its finality governing mankind.

Theocratic or Theocracy in Theological terms means being governed by a single God, not majority rule. God’s word is not and was never meant to be a democratic form of government, as some advocate today, where they vote or sign a petition to reject His word and think they will be justified in His sight. The University did the right thing in denying the LBGTQ club to meet on campus. In doing this they uphold God’s word as Theocratic, not up for a vote, rather than condemn His word by caving into a democratic form of government.
